Sparks & Craig, LLP was founded in 2005 as a continuation of a firm with roots dating back 30 years in Northern Virginia. The firm's success is based on getting to know each client personally to help address their particular needs, whether they relate to business transactions, litigation, real estate, tax issues, estate planning, or employment-related matters.

The firm's strength is in counselling businesses and individuals with a view to resolving problems and avoiding needless and expensive litigation.

The firm has chosen to remain small in order to maintain its relationships with its clients, many of whom have been clients of the firm, or its predecessor, for years. Its size also enables it to represent its clients at a reasonable cost. Because of the scope of its clients' activities, the firm offers a range of skills typically found only in larger firms, particularly in the areas of employment and election law, including the representation of non-profit groups and business law.
